THE COMPANY
Located in the heart of Antwerp, we specialise in the purchase, sale, and authentication of fine modern and vintage timepieces.
Founded in 2012, we work with private individuals, collectors, jewellers, and institutions in Belgium and internationally.
Whether you are considering selling a watch, looking for a particular timepiece, or seeking a professional valuation, you are welcome to visit us and discuss it in person.
Every watch in our collection is legally acquired, personally inspected, and carefully evaluated. As part of our provenance checks, every timepiece we purchase is checked against The Watch Register. Each watch we sell comes with an invoice issued in the buyer’s name, a lifetime warranty on authenticity, and a two-year warranty on mechanical performance.
If you are considering selling a watch, we will personally inspect and evaluate it and explain our offer. Our offer is free and without obligation. You are free to accept or decline. If you accept our offer, we will pay the agreed amount by bank transfer.
MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER
My name is Khatchatour Mkrtoumian, founder of Watch Expert.
My interest in fine watches began in 2005, when I first saw a Patek Philippe video advertisement. It introduced me to a world of watchmaking that has fascinated me ever since.
In 2012, I founded Watch Expert and began trading professionally in fine timepieces.
In 2013, I obtained my Certified Diamond Grader qualification from HRD Antwerp.
In 2022, I became a member of the Royal Belgian Chamber of Judicial Experts (KGSO-CEJA) as an expert in fine wristwatches.
More than twenty years after discovering my interest in watches, I still enjoy studying, and learning something new about them.
I am always open to a conversation. Sometimes a conversation naturally develops about watches, collecting, financial markets, business, or life in general. I enjoy meeting people and listening to their stories.
Our office is located opposite the Royal Flemish Opera and within walking distance of Antwerp Central Station, offering a private setting for valuations and transactions.
