Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

It is a pleasure to welcome you. Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Khatchatour Mkrtoumian, founder of Watch Expert. I began trading watches professionally in 2012.

To me, a fine mechanical watch represents art, craftsmanship, history, and passion. It is a rare and valuable collectible that brings the joy of ownership and can be passed down through generations.

I am a Certified Diamond Grader by HRD Antwerp.

I am also an expert in timepieces at the Royal Belgian Chamber of Experts (KGSO-CEJA).

I was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and have lived in Belgium since the age of twelve. Antwerp has been my home for most of my life.

From both sides of my family, I inherited an appreciation for art, collecting and entrepreneurship. My mother is a choreographer and my father is a ballet artist and a passionate stamp collector. My maternal grandfather was a businessman. My paternal grandfather was an economist with a passion for watches, while his father was a jeweller. I inherited a silver belt handcrafted by my great-grandfather. It is a very special piece that connects me to my family's history and something I hope to preserve for the next generation.

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of meeting many people — professionals from the watch and jewellery industry, entrepreneurs, musicians, filmmakers, artists, athletes, celebrities, politicians, and individuals from a wide variety of other professions.

I am a simple man, and I always treat everyone with the same kindness and respect, regardless of their profession, fame, or wealth. I believe in long-term relationships built on mutual respect. I enjoy meeting people, listening to them and answering their questions.
