Whether you are purchasing your first Rolex or building a collection of very rare and historically important watches, our mission is to guide you with integrity, expertise, and genuine care. Every client is treated with professionalism, respect, and discretion, in an atmosphere defined by trust.

Each item in our webshop is legally acquired, thoroughly inspected, carefully evaluated, and presented with complete transparency. Each timepiece comes with an invoice issued in your name, a lifetime warranty on authenticity, and a two-year warranty on mechanical performance.

Selling your valuable watch should be safe and straightforward. Whether you are upgrading to a new model or taking advantage of rising market values, we ensure a seamless experience. From a Rolex worth €5.000 to a Patek Philippe valued at €100.000 you can count on a fair market offer and immediate bank payment. A typical transaction takes just five minutes at our Antwerp office.

We sometimes meet clients who have received extremely low offers for their watches or have unknowingly purchased pieces that are not as described — for example, counterfeit watches fitted with genuine movements, those with replaced parts, altered warranty cards, or polished examples presented as unworn. While official retailers possess extensive knowledge of the brands they represent, the authentication of modern and vintage timepieces is a highly specialised field. In certain cases, obtaining an independent specialist opinion can provide additional reassurance.

Thank you for visiting.

My name is Khatchatour Mkrtoumian, founder of Watch Expert. My passion for luxury watches began in 2005 when I first saw a Patek Philippe video advertisement. It opened a completely new world to me. I watched it over and over again and even shared it with my family. What started as curiosity soon developed into years of collecting, studying, and researching vintage watches.

In 2012, I founded Watch Expert and began trading in fine timepieces professionally. In 2013, I obtained my Certified Diamond Grader qualification from HRD Antwerp. In 2022, after ten years of professional experience, I became a member of the Royal Belgian Chamber of Judicial Experts (KGSO-CEJA) as an expert in modern, vintage, and antique fine mechanical wristwatches. Over the years, I have had the privilege of assisting collectors, jewellers, and institutions from around the world.

To me, a fine watch is more than just a luxury object—it is art, craftsmanship, history, passion, and a tangible investment, especially when you choose the right model at the right time and at the right price.

Allow me to share one story that illustrates why expertise matters. A couple once brought me a Patek Philippe they had inherited—the very first Calatrava Ref. 96, with a rare black dial and a rose gold case. An authorized luxury watch retailer had told them it was fake. They were about to discard it until they found me online. It turned out to be an exceptional and highly valuable collector's timepiece in original condition.

My office, located opposite the Royal Flemish Opera and a short walk from Antwerp Central Station, is a private and secure space. You are always welcome—even just for a valuation or a conversation, with no pressure or obligation.

I genuinely enjoy my work. I like meeting people from a wide range of professions, listening to their stories, and sharing my passion. While many clients visit me for a valuation of a watch they are considering selling, our meetings often turn into enjoyable conversations about watches, financial markets, business, and life in general.
