Selling a valuable watch is not something you do every day. That is why I believe it is important that you have the time to show me your watch, ask questions and make your own decision without feeling rushed.
I personally welcome you to my office directly opposite the Flemish Opera in Antwerp. There is no pressure and no obligation to sell.
For additional security, both the ground-floor area and my office are equipped with CCTV.

A CLEAR OFFER AND IMMEDIATE PAYMENT
After examining your watch, I clearly explain what I can offer for it.
I prefer to work with a limited trading margin and to build good, long-term relationships with clients and fellow dealers.
If we reach an agreement, I purchase the watch directly from you and the agreed amount is paid immediately by instant bank transfer.
When the watch and its documentation are clear and we reach an agreement, a sale can often be completed in approximately five minutes.
But there is no need to rush. Some clients are on their way again after five minutes. Others stay for an hour to talk about watches, financial markets or life in general. For me, that personal contact is part of the profession.
PROVENANCE IS IMPORTANT TO ME
I do not buy just any watch.
Before every purchase, I therefore ask a number of questions about the watch and its provenance. Where and when was it purchased? Is there an invoice or other proof of purchase? Was the watch purchased within Europe or, if it came from outside the EU, was it properly imported?
Where necessary, I ask for additional information about the seller, the ownership history and the transaction.
Watches offered by their original owner or the owner's family are particularly welcome. I am also happy to consider other watches when their ownership and purchase history are sufficiently clear and verifiable.
Every watch I purchase is checked by its serial number through The Watch Register, an international database of lost and stolen watches.
For every purchase, I prepare a purchase document recording the details of the watch and the transaction. The seller must be able to identify themselves with a valid identity card or passport. The necessary identification details are recorded in accordance with applicable legal and privacy requirements.
I understand that this means I may sometimes ask more questions and carry out more checks than other buyers. I do so deliberately. I only want to conduct business when I have sufficient confidence in both the provenance of the watch and the legitimacy of the transaction.
I do not want to be involved in any way with stolen property, fraud, money laundering, proceeds from drug-related crime or any other criminal activity. If there is reasonable doubt about the provenance, ownership or legitimacy of a transaction, I will not purchase the watch.
This sometimes means walking away from an otherwise interesting purchase. I am comfortable with that.
A proper and lawful transaction is more important to me than a potential profit.

I buy watches from brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Söhne, Breguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Zenith and other prestigious watchmakers.
Modern watches, vintage and antique wristwatches, as well as pocket watches, are all welcome.
