CHAMPION'S ROLEX | ULTRA-RARE COLLECTOR'S PIECE
This is not just a Rolex. It’s a tribute to one of the most demanding athletic feats on Earth: the Ironman Triathlon.
This Rolex Explorer features a custom-engraved case-back with the iconic Ironman logo. Based on the accompanying blank Rolex warranty card, it is possibly a special Rolex order, believed to have been awarded to an Ironman champion — someone who swam 3.8 km, cycled 180 km, and ran 42.2 km in one day to earn it.
RARITY CONTEXT - COMPARED TO OTHER SPECIAL-ISSUED ROLEXES
To get a COMEX Rolex, you needed to be a diver for the company.
To get a Polizia di Stato Rolex, you needed to serve in the force.
To get this Rolex Explorer, you had to win one of the hardest endurance races ever created.
At €25,000, it is an extraordinary value compared to other special-issue Rolexes that sell for €70,000–€217,000 — and those didn’t require winning the Ironman to obtain.
